The Great Apron Challenge

With everything vintage and retro-inspired being oh so trendy at the moment, aprons are coming out of the kitchen drawer and are flirting with fashion. YES – aprons are back in style!

Visitors will see some wonderful examples of ‘creative, crafty aprons’ made by our clever CraftExpo exhibitors. Embroidered, patched, stencilled, stitched, stamped, ruffled, lacy, dyed, pleated, buttoned - there are so many fabulous crafts incorporated. You’ll love the intricately beaded apron, the gorgeous Christmas-themed appliqué apron, the incredible paper apron, and more. There’s even an amazing chain-mail apron!

Once inspired, you can join in the Bernina ‘Sew & Show’ Apron Challenge, held four times each day at the expo. Spend an hour getting creative and embellish an apron, then parade it down the catwalk for the judges. There will be prizes awarded at each session and by Sunday night one lucky winner will walk away with a brand new 'Bernette 82e for Bernina' sewing machine!
