CraftExpo is proud to have on display Queensland Quilters Inc.'s fabulous State of the Art Quilts. Jurors Christine Ballinger, Director of the Noosa Regional Gallery, and Sydney textile artist Alison Muir, have selected 19 art quilts that will be seen in the touring exhibition.

The exciting, innovative quilts on display highlight the wide range of techniques and subject matter our art quilters are exploring today. Quilters have taken inspiration from the Outback landscape & nature to the more intimate setting of their home environment & reinterpret the everyday.

Painted, hand dyed, stitched and felted fabrics convey meaning beyond mere words & transport the viewer beyond the everyday.
